JOSMEYER **
The domain continues its progress in the course of the years. Wines win in purity and in righteousness. Rieslings is magnificent. The first Cuvée, Le Kottabe, already sets the tone of the dimension of the soil. The Grand Cru Hengst is faithful to the year, at the same moment fat and spherical. The Pinot Gris Grand cru Hengst 2002 turns out thoroughbred, with a beautiful management of the power, an attractive amplitude while keeping his dynamism. Gewurztraminers shows itself just right in their definition, without any heaviness nor exuberance.

GUIDE GAULTMILLAU DES VINS 2008
JOSMEYER Estate (Wintzenheim)****
It’s no more necessary to present the Domain JOSMEYER supervised by Jean Meyer who is making wines since forty years ago. The international notoriety was developed and entertained by very digest wines, fine, fat without needless residual sugar. The passage to a biodynamic viticulture at the beginning of this new century did reinforce the wines density, in bringing a welcome consistence to express their noble origin. To manage more easily the constraints of biodynamic culture, the Domain has progressively replaced the buy of grapes by increasing their superficies, loosing his statute of wine merchant.
If some cuvees will need some more years of storage to get completely open, the 2004 and 2005 vintages produced wines being pleasant young.
With Christophe Ehrhart as Managing Director, Jean Meyer’s daughter’s Celine (General Manager) and Isabelle (Sales Manager) so as his nephew Philippe as Winemaker, all are working in the Domain, allowing a smooth transition.
Profit with these marvellous terroir wines from the 2001 and 2002 vintages that just arrived for sale, and drink even now these from 2005 who are a still available.
